This is my own rendition of Edward from the anime, "FullMetal Alchemist".
The whole image was created with PhotoShop CS2 and Wacom 12x18 Intuos2 Tablet. I drew Ed from scratch directly in photoshop.

I used a combination of the smudge tool, with finger paint activated, and customized brushes. The special flares around his arm are multiple fractal flare images rendered by KPT5 tools.

I looking for critiques on the coloring and shading. I am transitioning from concentrating on line work to simulating a painted look.
